Potential strike action at two UK ports
Aerona will be doing everything possible to keep customers up to date and will help to minimise effects.

We have recently received a ‘Notice to Customers’ regarding potential strike action at two UK ports. If the strikes do go ahead (and the signs are that they will) then there could be serious implications for Aerona (Air & Sea) Customs Clearing Agents Ltd customers whose cargoes are affected by this industrial action. Rest assured though that we will be doing everything possible to minimise the effects and we are wholly committed to assisting any of our customers who find themselves impacted by these actions. 

1.     Port of Felixstowe
The Unite Union has voted in favour of strike action at the Port of Felixstowe between 21st and 29th August unless a resolution is agreed before these dates. 2.     Port of Liverpool
The Unite Union has voted in favour of strike action at the Port of Liverpool. No dates for this industrial action have so far been announced, but it has been confirmed that no strike action will take place at the Port of Liverpool before the third week of September. 

Both port authorities have stated their commitment to assist customers who may be impacted by this strike action and they are mobilising their landside fleet to support adjustments. 

At Aerona we recommend that if possible, customers should move their cargo off the dockside as quickly as possible. 
We can also confirm that we will do everything in our power to ensure all inconveniences are minimised. 

Obviously the details of the upcoming strike action could change at a moments notice.
