Due to significant congestion, particularly from high-volume Maersk services, the port is facing:
- Delays in container release
- Labour and equipment shortages, resulting in slower turnaround times
- Disruptions in delivery schedules, including missed slots and increased costs
As a direct result, haulage providers may introduce additional charges for:
- Prolonged waiting times
- Failed or delayed collections
- Extended delivery times
These surcharges could begin as early as Monday, 7th July.
